Dates April 28-29, 2012
Location Oregon Convention Center
777 NE MLK, Jr. Blvd.
Portland, Oregon USA 97232
Website Stumptown Comics Fest
Remarks The annual Stumptown Comics Fest is the the largest comic book convention in Portland, Oregon, dedicated primarily to the artists, writers, and publishers who make everyone’s favorite comics! Our goal is, as ever, to take over the world with comics. Help us, won’t you?
About “The Stumptown Comics Fest is the largest creator-focused comic arts show in the Pacific Northwest. Featuring over 200 exhibitors and a full weekend of panels and workshops….
The Stumptown Comics Fest was started almost on a whim in 2004 by a small group of Portland-area cartoonists lamenting the lack of local convention-style outlets. While there were certainly other comic book shows in town, there weren’t any that gave much attention to the artists themselves. The dream was to design a festival with the creators as its focus, rather than dealers and work-for-hire publishers.”

On Saturday night, faeries and pirates will dance together and face off in a tug o’war to decide who rules Neverworlds at Faerieworlds this summer. Our hosts for the evening are our own faerie borne Billy Scudder as the Green Man and Mark Lewis as the pirate rapscallion, Dirty Jack. Be ye faerie or pirate, this is the night for you to strut yourself and represent!

“In response to popular demand, we are happy to announce the Faerieworlds Winter Celebration returns to the McDonald Theater on January 29, 2011 for The Neverworlds Masquerade Ball and our theme is…”Faeries vs. Pirates!” This is going to be a wild, wonderful evening full of music and surprises as pixie dust flies, grog flows freely and wings and cutlasses collide. Shake off winter’s chill, stand fast for your tribe and help out the Portland Pirates too. Faerieworlds is happy to support our friends at the Portland Pirate Festival: in addition to a cash payment by Faerieworlds, a portion of net ticket sales will be donated to the Festival.”
